Why Students and Educational institutions?

Most mothers of high school and university students are either perimenopausal or transitioning through some stage of menopause. With the added responsibility of raising teenage children and sometimes dependent parents, most women will tend to brush their symptoms under the carpet.

High school and college are also stressful phases for students as they deal with changing hormones and added academic responsibilities.

Lifestyle during youth can impact menopausal health in later life.

100% of students (all genders) will come across someone going through menopause in their life - it could be their mothers, grandmothers, aunts, partners, wife! After all, women are half the world's population and there are over a billion postmenopausal women worldwide!
Our Goals

By raising awareness about perimenopause and menopause symptoms, students can educate and nudge their mothers to be more proactive about their menopausal health and prevent medical conditions such as hypertension, osteoporosis, heart disease, depression, etc. Seeking timely help for their menopause symptoms can prevent long-term medical conditions.

Gaining an understanding of perimenopause and menopause symptoms (mood changes, depression, hot flashes, etc) can douse the fire in a household challenged with arguments.

Following the model of 'catching them young', our focus at MenopauseWize is to change the course of the health of today's youth by incorporating lifestyle changes while they are young.

Our goal at MenopauseWize is to sensitize young minds towards the needs of women undergoing the menopausal transition.
